Exploring the Mindsight Approach to Parenting

A one-day conference with Dan Siegel, MD

Wednesday 22 May 2013 - Woburn Park, Bedfordshire

About the conference

This is a fantastic opportunity to spend a day listening to one of the foremost experts in his field. Dr Siegel has lectured for the King of Thailand, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Pope John Paul II and Google University amongst many others

At this one-day conference Dr Siegel will explore the links between attachment, the relationship between children and their parents and the latest research in mindfulness and brain science. It will encourage parents to look at their own attachment style and to explore exciting and practical new ideas from the cutting edge of science and apply them to the world of caring for children.

The conference will also explore the concept of Mindsight which helps us attune to the inner world of ourselves and others. It is the basis of social and emotional intelligence and the source of secure attachment between child and caregiver. Mindsight lets us 'name and tame' the emotions we are experiencing rather than being overwhelmed by them.
